I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly happening.
